WELCOME

The Outer Banks are a string of barrier islands along the eastern coast of North Carolina.

While the islands are beautiful, they can be challenging to get to, so we've put together a list of accommodations and some important transportation facts below.

Travel.

Road Trip-

Corolla is very accessible by car and will be less than an 11-hour drive for most of our guests.

If you are spending the week with us and would like the flexibility of having your own car, we strongly encourage you to drive.

The sand dune-lined Highway 12 runs 148 miles along the beautiful coast of the Outer Banks.  We know that many of our guests will enjoy having their own vehicle to explore this breathtaking string of islands.

Put on your favorite playlist or podcast and enjoy the ride!

Norfolk International Airport-

2200 Norview Avenue, Norfolk, VA 23518, USA

100 miles to Corolla, NC

Corolla is a 2.5-hour drive from Norfolk Airport.

If you need or prefer to fly, we recommend renting a 4x4 vehicle at the airport to capitalize on your time in Corolla.

Vehicle Rental.

If you do not have a 4x4 vehicle, that's ok!  Here is a list of rental companies' people have used.  We also will shuttle throughout the week if anyone is staying on the pavement.  (No, your Kia Sportage will not make it on the sand).  If you are picking up the car from the airport and using Turo make sure you tell the owner of the vehicle you are bringing it on the 4x4.  We are not liable for your vehicles.

We will be having a shuttle picking anyone up who does not have a 4x4 vehicle for the wedding. Shuttle times are TBD.
